Friends,
Our reading of the gospels reveal that on Monday of Christ's final week on earth prior to his passion on the cross he went into the temple and began to chase out the money changers - saying, "My house shall be called a house of prayer but you have made it a den of robbers."
His words and actions were harsh on this day, and it might be easy for us to smugly remove ourselves from this scene in consideration of our own life. But I wonder, if Jesus were to come into our houses of worship what might he find and say of us?
