One year ago I posted a video titled, "Maintaining Perspective" in which I spoke of a timely and more proper response for the Christian community in light of the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. What I was saying was this - that of all the things we might focus on in light of that particular days news, I was impressed by the thought that the church might better focus on something few that day were - to pray for their brothers and sisters who were about to undergo persecution.
As one year is now passed from this event, I find a reminder to remember the place and nature of our citizenship as Christians is still quite needed. Check out my video post to hear why I feel this is so.
